Abstract
Based on Article 5 of Law Number 41 of 2004 on Waqf,the purpose of waqf is not only for worship facilities but also for community economic empowerment. This purpose is similarity with the principles of Indonesian economic law to effort to alleviate social inequality. Cash Waqf is one of the development of waqf which is used as a business capital. it's a venture capital then the profits are distributed to the recipient of waqf. Distribution of cash waqf can be synergized as business capital for Community that has difficulties in capital.

Abstrak
Berdasarkan Pasal 5 Undang-Undang Nomor 41 tahun 2004 tentang Wakaf, bahwa wakaf tidak hanya diperuntukan untuk kegiatan sarana ibadah semata tetapi juga dapat dapat di gunakan untuk pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat. Tujuan Undang-Undang Wakaf sangat selaras dengan prinsip hukum ekonomi Indonesia khususnya dalam upaya mengentaskan kesenjangan sosial dalam masyarakat. Wakaf uang merupakan salah satu pengembangan wakaf untuk pemberdayan ekonomi umat.Wakaf uang digunakan sebagai modal usaha untuk pemberdayaan ekonomi umat. Mewakafkan uang dengan cara menjadikannya sebagai modal usaha kemudian keuntungannya disalurkan pada mauquf ‘alaih/ penerima wakaf. Penyaluran wakaf uang dapat disinergikan sebagai modal usaha kepada Masyarakat Ekonomi Lemah yang memiliki kesulitan modal dalam melakukan Usaha.
